Big & Rich have been a long-running part of ESPN’s College GameDay coverage. The duo’s song “Comin’ to Your City” has been used as the intro for the Saturday morning pre-game show, but that will change this fall.

Big & Rich revealed in a brief video on social media that they are “passing the torch” on the College GameDay intro after a 16-year run. The new intro will officially be revealed in Week 1 per the duo.

“It’s been a great 16 years being the voices of the College GameDay open,” said Big Kenny.

“And now we’re excited to officially pass the torch to these extremely talented artists,” John Rich revealed. “We can’t say who just yet, but tune into ESPN on Saturday, Sept. 2 at 9 a.m. to find out.”

Nothing lasts forever, but Big & Rich’s song undeniably had a great college football feel to it, and it has become synonymous with the start of a college football Saturday. We’ll see who ESPN goes with to carry on the intro moving forward.
