Another college football bowl game could be disrupted by COVID-19. Mike Barber of the Richmond Times-Dispatch is reporting that the Fenway Bowl is “very much in jeopardy” due to Virginia’s virus issues. College football insider Brett McMurphy reports that “it’s not looking good,” per a source.

Virginia and SMU are slated to play Wednesday in the first Fenway Bowl, but neither team has made the trip to Boston for the game in Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. This is the second time UVA has pushed its travel back. The Hoos were supposed to travel on Saturday, but on Friday announced they were pushing the trip back to Sunday, which is now being pushed back again.

Virginia is awaiting another round of test results and has a team meeting scheduled for 3 p.m. ET.

This Bowl Season, COVID-19 cases have led to Texas A&M being replaced in the Gator Bowl and Hawaii pulling out of the Hawaii Bowl at the last minute.
