College football realignment rumors: Pac-12 insider details B1G's potential plan regarding Oregon, Washington
College football realignment rumors continue to dominate the national discussion around the sport.
After USC and UCLA announced their intentions to leave the Pac-12 for the Big Ten, many are wondering what the future of the Pac-12 holds and whether big-name schools like Oregon and Washington will be the next to leave.
Jon Wilner, a Pac-12 insider who broke the USC/UCLA story, has a source who said they’d be “stunned” if the Big Ten added Oregon and Washington. Per Wilner’s source, the Big Ten is expected to sit back and try to pursue Notre Dame in an couple of years, leaving the Ducks and Huskies to join the Big 12 or try to make things work in the Pac-12:
Source: “I’d be stunned if Washington and Oregon go to the Big Ten. The Big Ten will sit back for two years, then try to get Notre Dame”
Growing reality is the Ducks and Huskies have to 1) make it work in the #Pac12 or 2) join the Big 12.
My guess: 1) is their preference

What will happen next in the realignment race? It seems Notre Dame is the big domino that needs to fall first.
But, we also know the SEC can move quickly. We’ll see whether the Big Ten, SEC or someone else strikes the next big realignment blow.
