ESPN updates College Football Playoff odds following Week 9

The College Football Playoff selection committee will see its initial rankings revealed Tuesday night at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.

While the No. 1 team in the country will surely be Georgia, there’s sure to be controversy regardless of who the committee puts into the top 4. For reference, the AP Top 25 has the Bulldogs at No. 1 followed by Cincinnati, Alabama, and Oklahoma, but there’s obviously no guarantee that the CFP rankings will mirror that.

ESPN on Sunday updated its CFP odds and, as you can see below, Georgia has far and away the best chance of making the field right now following a victory over Florida to improve to 8-0. Alabama is showing as having the 2nd-best odds at 69 percent as it currently carries 1 loss.
