Hue Jackson has not quite worked out as a head coach at any level of the sport of football.

The former Cleveland Browns head coach was fired by Grambling State after posting a 5-6 record in Year 2 with the program. It was Jackson’s first head coaching capacity in college after several years of experience in the NFL.

Jackson famously had a less-than-ideal stint with the Cleveland Browns from 2016-2018, finishing 3-36-1 including an 0-16 season in 2017, one of just 2 times an NFL team has gone winless across an entire season. He was fired in October of 2018.

From there, Jackson went to the Bengals and then to Tennessee State as OC after 3 seasons out of coaching. He was hired as Grambling State’s head coach on December 10, 2021.

He exits Grambling State with a 8-14 record as the Tigers’ head coach.
