Tulane pushed Oklahoma to the limit in Week 1 before the Sooners eventually held on for the win. The Green Wave had no trouble with Morgan State but now set their sights on Ole Miss, ranked No. 17 in the polls.

Tulane hasn’t been in the SEC for a number of decades, but that didn’t stop Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin from referring to it as an “SEC opponent” ahead of the 2 teams’ meeting in Oxford on Saturday.

And the Green Wave had a simple but effective response on their Twitter account on Tuesday. They posted a photo of their football helmet with a sticker on the back referencing their 3 SEC championships from 1934, 1939, and 1949.

You can take a look at the photo below:

Including vacated wins, Ole Miss has come out in front in the last 11 meetings between the 2 teams, with the most recent one coming in 2012. We’ll see if there’s a different result in the cards on Saturday or if the Rebels chalk up another win against the Green Wave.
