It’s been a tough few days for the Florida Gators, with two players decommitting from their 2020 recruiting class earlier this week.
On Saturday, they got some more bad news, this time about one of their top 2019 signees — 4-star OG Deyavie Hammond.
As you can see below, Hammond took to Twitter on Saturday to announce that he didn’t meet NCAA requirements and would have to play at the JUCO level for the next two years:

Per the 247Sports composite, Hammond was the No. 15 offensive guard in the class of 2019 and the No. 35 overall recruit from the state of Florida.
Whether or not he returns to Florida in two years remains to be seen, but this is definitely a setback for both Hammond and the Gators.
