Anthony Richardson is expected to make the first start of his college football career on Saturday.
Matt Zenitz of On3 is reporting that Florida coach Dan Mullen is expected to go with Richardson, a redshirt freshman, as UF’s starting quarterback against No. 1 Georgia.
The expectation is that Anthony Richardson will be Florida’s starting QB against Georgia today, sources tell @On3sports.
Would be the first career start for the talented redshirt freshman, who accounted for four second half touchdowns against LSU Oct. 16. https://t.co/xqNijnnOhV

Redshirt junior Emory Jones has started Florida’s first 7 games of the season. The Gators enter Saturday’s “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” clash in Jacksonville unranked with a 4-3 record. UF’s third loss of the season came in Week 7 against an undermanned LSU squad. After Florida fell behind 28-13, Richardson replaced Jones for much of the second half, leading UF to four-straight scores in a rally that ultimately fell short as LSU pulled off a 49-42 upset.
