Anthony Richardson just recently got on campus down in Gainesville but he’s already started to turn heads.

If you were unaware, the 2020 four-star quarterback prospect is already enrolled at Florida and is taking part in bowl practice with the team. During the team’s recent media availability, starting signal-caller Kyle Trask was asked to share his thoughts on the team’s newest quarterback.

Clearly, Trask has been impressed with what he’s seen thus far.

“He’s a stud,” Kyle Trask said of Richardson, according to Robbie Andreu of the Gainesville Sun. “He’s going to do great things for this university.”

That’s got to be music to the ears of Gator fans everywhere as outside of a handful of plays here and there from Emory Jones, we still have yet to see much from a Dan Mullen recruited quarterback down in Gainesville. That’s not to say Mullen didn’t get the most out of Feleipe Franks or that Trask has been anything other than an outstanding surprise, but considering Mullen’s track record with quarterbacks, it’s easy to imagine the Gator program reaching another level with a player like Richardson now on the roster.

The 6-foot-4, 224-pound Richardson ranks as the nation’s No. 5 dual-threat quarterback and a top 200 overall prospect in the 2020 recruiting cycle.
