Anthony Richardson has not practiced this week after sustaining a concussion in Florida’s Week 9 loss to Georgia, Dan Mullen told Edgar Thompson of The Orlando Sentinel.

Richardson, making his first career start, left Saturday’s 34-7 loss to UGA in the third quarter after being tackled by linebacker Adam Anderson. Richardson was relieved by redshirt junior Emory Jones, the starter of Florida’s previous 7 games this season.

Mullen told Thompson that Richardson did not practice Monday or Tuesday and did not know if the redshirt freshman quarterback would return to practice on Wednesday.

The news out of Gainesville comes despite the fact that Florida shut off all media access for the week after Monday’s press conference. Mullen will appear on the SEC’s weekly media teleconference Wednesday, an obligation for conference head coaches.

Florida travels to South Carolina in Week 10. The game is set for 7:30 p.m. ET, airing on the SEC Network.
