Billy Napier addressed the status of quarterback Jack Miller and offensive lineman O’Cyrus Torrence during his Wednesday press conference previewing Florida’s game vs. LSU on Saturday.

Miller had undergone surgery before the season to repair an injured right thumb. While the Ohio State transfer has had yet to practice in 2022, he is back on the depth chart, according to OnlyGators.com. However, Napier noted that he hadn’t decided if Miller would back Anthony Richardson up against the Tigers.

As for Torrence, he has been deemed questionable according to the team’s injury report. Napier didn’t disclose the nature of the injury, only stating that Torrence had been held out of practice. Richie Leonard is being listed as the starter at right guard if Torrence can’t go, with Jalen Farmer behind Leonard.

“[Torrence is] a guy who hasn’t participated in practice, and we’ll make some decisions over the next couple days,” Napier said.

Kickoff between the Gators and Tigers on Saturday from Gainesville is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
