The marquee game in the SEC this week is in Jacksonville for the annual Georgia-Florida game, and each team is coming off of a bye week.

SEC Network host Paul Finebaum made his weekly appearance on WJOX on Monday morning to discuss the state of the SEC and he weighed in on the game, and all but made a prediction.

“I don’t give them (Florida) a great chance,” Finebaum said. “I think Georgia is coming into this game knowing that the season is on the line and this is not a freebie in any way. I think during this time off (bye week) they have been able to figure out some things that have gone wrong and correct them.”

Finebaum added that the annual bye week before the trip to Jacksonville came at an advantageous time for the Bulldogs to fix mistakes.

“I give Kirby Smart a lot of credit for being a very smart coach and being aware of what his team has not done,” he said. “That team was trending in the entirely wrong direction, and I think this break comes at a great time.”

“Florida is a very good team. I think Georgia is a better team.”

Georgia is a touchdown favorite in the game, which is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday on CBS. Both ESPN’s “College GameDay,” and the SEC Network’s “SEC Nation” are set to be in Jacksonville to preview the game.
