Florida has several key players dealing with injuries ahead of the SEC Championship Game with Alabama, but coach Dan Mullen has come out and said if they will, in fact, play on Saturday. At the top of list is star TE Kyle Pitts, who missed last week’s game against LSU.

“Kyle has had a great week of practice,” Mullen told reporters on Thursday, per Sara Cardona. “We’ll see, hopefully he’s able to play, hopefully he’s able to get cleared and play on Saturday.”

On Sunday at a media teleconference, Mullen said, “But talking to our trainers, they expect him to be cleared to play this week.”

Jeremiah Moon and Shawn Davis were also on the list that Mullen wouldn’t reveal about their availability until Saturday. On Sunday, Mullen detailed the injury situation for the team.

“We’ll see. Banged-up team, which that happens this time of year. But in meeting with the trainers, they feel there’s a good chance we could get some guys back on Saturday,” Mullen said. “The opportunity for Shawn Davis to come back, Jeremiah Moon to come back. Let me think. Nay’Quan Wright should be back for us. We still expect to be without David Reese. Ty’Ron Hopper was out last game. We expect to have him back. Marlon Dunlap got banged up last week. We expect to have him back this week, as well.”

If Florida is able to pull off the upset as 17-point underdogs, the Gators will need most, if not all, of these players who have the chance to come back to play.
