Florida fans frustrated, call for Todd Grantham’s job after rough first half vs. Vanderbilt

The Florida Gators are off to a bit of a slow start on Saturday afternoon in Nashville. At halftime, the Gators are leading the Commodores 17-10.
While giving up only 10 points in a half is nothing too terrible, Florida fans aren’t happy with DC Todd Grantham, as it’s the most points the Commodores have scored in the first quarter all season.
Fans and media members took to Twitter to criticize Grantham’s defense, particularly calling him out for not developing some of the older players on the defensive side of the ball.
Here were some of the reactions to Grantham’s first-half coaching job against the 0-6 Commodores:
Think there's *some* merit to this statement, but there are plenty of veterans getting beaten right now. https://t.co/0DB8vMb8ic

Vanderbilt drives right down the field on the first drive. This defense is unbelievably porous

Grantham been ass per usual, but Dan playcalling been sus today

DBs are ankle biters. Can’t tackle anyone. Marco trying to strip the ball while the receiver is dragging people for a first down.
The personnel decisions and continuance to play players just because of seniority is mind boggling. There are much better players on the bench

What a poorly poorly coached Florida defense. There’s just no other way to explain it.

It’s the same song and dance. Guys lined up wrong, missed tackles, soft as butter coverage.

Sad realization… our best players on defense are the freshmen because they’ve not been “developed” by Grantham as long

On third and 4, wouldn’t we all expect a defense to play tighter coverage (other than Grantham)? Making it much more difficult to run a screen. https://t.co/uZMx7n3rMF

Will the defense be better in the second half? We’ll find out soon enough.
