The lead-up to the NFL Draft is considered something of a “silly season” of debates, gossip and rumors surrounding prospects’ draft stock and potential pro destinations. A big part of the silly season comes from media outlets reporting NFL scouts’ “concerns” surrounding certain prospects. It appears that Kadarius Toney’s music career has some of those scouts “concerned.”

Jon Ledyard of Pewter Report tweeted a screenshot from The Athletic showing that some scouts wonder if Toney, who raps under the name “Yung Joka,” is more passionate about music than football.

Toney released a Yung Joka album “SplitWorld” on Jan. 1, 2020. Toney went on to have the most productive season of his Florida career that fall, catching 70 passes for 984 yards and 10 touchdowns.

He put out a five-song EP, “Warrior 2” on New Year’s Day.
