A Florida offensive lineman is reportedly entering the NCAA transfer portal after a season with the program.

Offensive tackle David Conner is no longer listed on Florida’s online roster. Zach Goodall of AllGators was first to report Conner’s plan to enter the portal.

Out of Deerfield Beach High School in Florida, Conner was a 3-star prospect who picked up scholarship offers from 14 programs. He chose Florida over Arizona, Maryland, Syracuse and others, committing to the former coaching staff on Aug. 17, 2021. Conner remained pledged through the Gators’ coaching change and signed with UF in December 2021.

Conner suffered a thumb injury in August 2022 that required surgery and sidelined him for the season. He took a redshirt, giving him 4 remaining seasons of college eligibility.

Earlier this offseason, Baylor transfer lineman Micah Mazzcua tweeted that he would be going back into the portal. Mazzcua, who is out with an injury, deleted the tweet and remains with the team. With Conner deleted from the roster, it appears he will follow through with transferring.

Florida’s annual Orange and Blue Spring Game is set for Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET. It will be streamed on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.
