Florida continues to make moves in the wake of the Jaden Rashada NIL investigation, and have now parted ways with NIL director Marcus Castro-Walker.

Castro-Walker is no longer listed on the staff directory, and a Florida spokesman confirmed that Castro-Walker is not employed by the athletic department, reported Zach Abolverdi of Gators Online. Abolverdi and Stewart Mandel of The Athletic reported that Castro-Walker was involved in the investigation of the Jaden Rashada recruitment. The 4-start QB recruit, who is now at Arizona State, flipped from Miami to Florida amid reports of an NIL deal with the now-defunct Gator Collective for $13.85 million over 4 years.

Castro-Walker was hired among Billy Napier’s “army” of assistants and personnel and had the first of its kind title in college football as NIL director, as well as the team’s director of player engagement.

Castro-Walker previously worked at Nebraska, Arizona State and UCF in player development roles.
