Florida will take the field on Saturday for the first time since the firing of Dan Mullen as head coach. And there’s bowl eligibility up for grabs for both teams as Florida State visits the Swamp for the final game of the regular season, with the Gators last missing out on the postseason in 2017, the season before Mullen’s arrival.

How will they respond under Greg Knox as the interim head coach takes the reins for the first time? Part of that could hinge on how gets the start behind center: Emory Jones or Anthony Richardson. Knox already stated that Richardson would see some playing time if healthy but didn’t specifically reveal how much that would equate to.

And it sounds like good news for Richardson as he continues to work to get healthy in time for a possible appearance against the Seminoles.

“He’s been looking good. He’s back,” Gators running back Malik Davis said of the quarterback on Tuesday evening.

Kickoff between Florida and Florida State is set for noon ET on Saturday on ESPN.
