Florida schedules game against Eastern Washington for 2020

This one is personal for head coach Jim McElwain.
The Florida Gators announced a non-conference game against Eastern Washington for 2020 at The Swamp, and it will mark the first time the program has played an SEC team. The game is scheduled for September 5th at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
McElwain, of course, played QB Eastern Washington from 1980-83, and he graduated from the school in 1984 with a degree in Education.
“This is pretty cool to be able to add Eastern Washington to the schedule,” said McElwain said in a release. “I spent 15 years at Eastern and it is such a huge part of my life. I met my wife, Karen, there and all of my children were born there. I have so many great memories of my time at Eastern and I still have friends there to this day.”
A graduate of the University of Florida and founder of Saturday Down South, Kevin is a college football enthusiast.
