Kevin O'Sullivan squarely in the Gator Hater cross hairs on social media as South Alabama routs Florida
Saturday afternoon turned ugly for the Florida baseball program as South Alabama put up several crooked numbers in the Gainesville Regional, including three home runs in the seventh inning, which followed a 10-run sixth.
Perhaps the most incredible stat of the game was that South Alabama had 10 straight two-out hits in the 10-run sixth.
Media and fans immediately discussed coach coach Kevin O’Sullivan being a target of LSU and its search for a new coach.
To make matters worse, the game was delayed by weather just after 3 p.m. in the seventh inning.
Here’s a sampling of some of the reaction to the lopsided score:
Florida’s Kevin O’Sullivan might be heading for the LSU job, but we commend him going out the Dennis Franchoine way https://t.co/7f4zbKAQxG

If Kevin O’Sullivan leaves Florida for LSU, this is one hell of a way to go out.

Well if this is Kevin O’Sullivan’s last game in Gainesville, it will certainly be a forgettable one. 🐊 ⚾️

The way UF is getting crushed out of its own regional is exactly what we (as the LSU fanbase) needed to get who we want to replace Mainieri. Kevin O’Sullivan, welcome to Baton Rouge.

South Alabama had 10 straight two-out hits in a 10-run sixth.
It is 14-1 Jags over Florida. The unanimous preseason No. 1 team in college baseball is staring at a 2-and-bbq in its home regional.
Hats off to the Jags for bouncing back from last night’s 1-0 loss with authority.
