Florida pledge LJ McCray, one of Florida’s top commitments in the Class of 2024, will not sign his national letter of intent on Wednesday as previously expected.

The 6-6, 260-pound defensive lineman is a top 10 prospect in the Class of 2024 according to 247Sports and has been committed to Florida since October of this past year.

According to Chris Vinel of DBNJ Sports, McCray still plans to announce his decision across the next few days.

Obviously, this is less than ideal news for Florida. Both of their top rated recruits, McCray and DJ Lagway, have been rumored to be potential flip candidates. Lagway, Florida’s 5-star QB prospect, is reportedly receiving a late push from USC, which recently lost 5-star QB Malachi Nelson to the transfer portal.
