LOOK: Scott Stricklin trolling us all? Florida AD wants everyone to know he's in Gainesville
Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin apparently wasn’t in Bristol, Conn., on Tuesday afternoon, despite some chatter about a University of Florida plane that was headed near Bristol on Monday.
That plane, many Gators fans are hoping, was en route to visit with former Oregon head coach Chip Kelly at the ESPN studios, where he is currently employed.
A series of tweets on Tuesday afternoon seemed to tell an interesting story. It’s just hard to figure out exactly what that story is, considering all the smoke surrounding these coaching rumors.
Is there a flame underneath? Is Florida getting ready to hire Kelly away from ESPN?
Stricklin sent out the tweet below on Tuesday, indicating that he was definitely on campus in Gainesville:
Just finished speaking to sports admin class on @UF campus. Engaging group … they asked good questions! #GoGators pic.twitter.com/beihL2haUf

Is Stricklin trolling? Here’s another tweet from UF student Jake Kilgore:
Look who’s speaking in my class right now (and not in Connecticut)
What should I️ ask him? pic.twitter.com/Hqpt7I92vr

And then there’s this … that darn looking eyes emoji. Does it mean anything? Maybe UF is just really good at social media.
