After missing all of last season due to injury, Eddy Pineiro has found a new home in the NFL.

The former Florida standout has been signed by the Colts, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. Pineiro’s deal with the team is for one year.

Pineiro successfully started his NFL career in Chicago, where he made 23 of 28 field goal attempts and 27 of 29 extra point attempts for the Bears.

During his two seasons kicking for the Gators, Pineiro made 38 of 43 field goals and 56 of 58 extra points.

Now that he’s a Colt, Pineiro will be competing against former Georgia standout, Rodrigo Blankenship.

In his rookie season with the Colts in 2020, Blankenship made 32 of his 37 field goal attempts and 43 of 45 extra point attempts.
