Niels Lane announced he would be entering the transfer portal after 3 seasons in Gainesville shortly after the end of last season. On Sunday, Lane revealed his destination.
Lane will be heading north to Delaware, closer to his home state of New Jersey. The Blue Hens finished in the middle of the pack in the CAA last season. Lane, a former 4-star guard in the Class of 2020, should do well there.

There has been a lot of overhaul this offseason for Todd Golden’s crew. In total, 5 Gators have entered the portal and found a new home elsewhere. In contrast, the Gators have added 4 commitment from the portal in EJ Jarvis, Tyrese Samuel, Micah Handlogten and Walter Clayton Jr.
Year 1 did not go exactly as planned for the Gators, but the amount of movement this offseason is promising moving forward.
