How hot should Mike White’s seat be in Gainesville?

Depending on who you ask, his seat should be red-hot after Florida lost to No. 15 seed Oral Roberts in the Round of 32 of Sunday’s NCAA Tournament matchup.

The Gators were up by 11 in the second half of the game but Oral Roberts fought back and took the lead with just over two minutes remaining in the game and closed it out to move on to Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 1974 by beating Florida 81-78 on Sunday.

White’s decision to keep Osayi Osifo in the game late backfired, as Oral Roberts intentionally fouled the poor free throw shooter to put him on the line. After Osifo missed the first of a one-and-one, Oral Roberts got the rebound and took the lead with under three minutes in the game.

Following the game, White drew the vast majority of criticism for Florida failing to beat the No. 15 seed Oral Roberts team.
