Tennessee and Florida certainly saved the best for last Saturday.

The two teams were locked in a stalemate for much of the game, but the fourth quarter turned into a shootout. The Vols and Gators combined for 37 points in the fourth after combining for nine points through the first three quarters of the game.

What turned into heartbreak for the Vols was jubilation for head coach Jim McElwain and the Gators. Gators QB Feleipe Franks and WR Tyrie Cleveland teamed up for the memorable experience, and Thomas Goldkamp with 247sports shared their thoughts on the play.

“I kind of had in the back of my head, I’m thinking ‘get the ball into a receiver’s hands to let them make plays,'” Franks said. “That’s what they’re good at, that’s not what I’m good at. I can’t go and juke 30 people…I didn’t go into that play looking to throw a deep ball.”

The deep ball is what happened, a 63-yarder to be exact, and it was a beauty.

Cleveland says that his goal was simply to be fast on the play.

“I saw the corner press and I just ran fast,” Cleveland said. “Just ran fast and straight and I just ran with the quarterback as he ran out. It was just that simple. I just ran fast.”

Cleveland was fast, and he made sure not to drop the ball for the Gators victory.
