Spring camp in Gainesville didn’t go over very well for Florida quarterback Kyle Trask. Judging by his reps in last weekend’s Orange and Blue spring game, the redshirt freshman clearly took his place behind Feleipe Franks in the QB pecking order in Jim McElwain’s offense. Now comes the news that Trask will be going under the knife to repair a torn meniscus.

News of Trask’s surgery was first reported by Nick de la Torre of Gator Country. Trask is reportedly set to have his surgery Wednesday. If the surgery goes well and Trask suffers no setbacks in his rehab, the freshman should not miss any of fall camp.

Trask has yet to take a snap for the Gators in a regular season game. He signed with the Gators after ranking as a three-star recruit in the 2016 recruiting cycle.
