Stock falling? NFL draft analyst reports Jachai Polite did not impress in NFL interviews
Heading into the NFL Combine this weekend, many analysts had Florida edge rusher Jachai Polite as a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Mock Drafts.
However, that could be changing following Polite’s performance in Indianapolis, which apparently didn’t impress scouts.
Per Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller, scouts were not impressed with the way Polite interviewed and even questioned his injury that limited him at the Combine:
Just landed back home, opened my phone and had 5 texts from scouts about how bad Jachai Polite interviewed. On top of bad workouts (one called his injury “bullshit”), his stock is taking a massive tumble.

Polite still has a pro day to try to impress scouts and rebuild his reputation. However, if these scouts are to be believed, he might slide out of the first round.
In 2018, Polite had 45 tackles (19.5 for a loss) and 11 sacks.
