Todd Grantham reaction: Florida fans questioning team's decision following awful first half vs. Samford
Todd Grantham was the scapegoat for Florida’s struggles this week, getting let go by head coach Dan Mullen (along with OL coach John Hevesy).
Yes, Grantham’s defense struggled at times, but perhaps, based on Saturday’s first-half performance against Samford, Grantham was doing the best with what he had to work with.
The Gators are trailing 42-35 at halftime on Saturday afternoon in The Swamp — a historically awful performance thus far.
Naturally, fans had plenty to say about that. Grantham’s name came up plenty on Twitter during the first half:
I think Todd Grantham could have at least held Sanford to 35 at the half personally.

Has a team ever fired Todd Grantham and then their defense got WORSE?

What fallout will occur after this game? We could be heading for even more big changes in Gainesville, even if Florida comes from behind in the second half to beat Samford.
