Per the Orlando Sentinel’s Mike Bianchi and ESPN’s Jeff Barlis, Treon Harris’ attorney Huntley Johnson announced Friday that the accuser has withdrawn her complaint that Harris sexually assaulted her early Sunday morning.

In a statement released yesterday by Harris’ attorney, Huntley Johnson, he maintained his full confidence that no charges would be filed against the true freshman quarterback and that he is “not guilty of a crime and did not mistreat this young lady in any way that night.”

The University of Florida released a statement shortly after the Johnson’s announcement.

Now that the complaint has been withdrawn, it will be interesting to see how the University of Florida handles the case. Harris hasn’t been cleared by the university, but with the latest developments, his reinstatement to the football team could be expedited.
