WATCH: Dan Mullen surprises 2 walk-on special-team contributors with scholarships

It’s surprise scholarship season, so walk-ons across the country are keeping their fingers crossed that maybe they’ll be next.
On Monday, two Florida special-teams players — RJ Raymond II and Nicholas Villano — were informed that they had been placed on scholarship.
Villano, a redshirt junior offensive lineman, and Raymond, a redshirt senior athlete, were both surprised by coach Dan Mullen following practice, as you can see in the video below:

Moments like this bring teams together, and it’s a great way to reward some of the team’s unsung heroes for their hard work.
Congrats to Villano and Raymond, who will now have even more motivation on punt coverage this season after Monday’s exciting news.
