Just when you thought Georgia’s non-conference schedule couldn’t get much more difficult, the Bulldogs have added another game against Clemson.

Georgia is already on the books to open the 2021 season with a home game against San Jose State but as first reported by Brett McMurphy of Stadium, Kirby Smart’s program will instead open the season in Charlotte against Clemson to kick off the 2021 season on Sept. 4.

Clemson does not currently have a game scheduled for that date but the Tigers did have four non-conference games on their books for the 2021 season prior to this news.

This matchup between Georgia and Clemson would be the sixth one we are set to get in the coming years as the two programs have previously agreed to a number of matchups.

Here’s a look at the matchups between the two programs that were already on the books:

  • 2024 on Aug. 31 in Atlanta, GA
  • 2029 on Sept. 15 at Clemson
  • 2030 on Aug. 31 at Georgia
  • 2032 on Sept. 4 at Georgia
  • 2033 on Sept. 3 at Clemson

This sixth game in the upcoming series between the two programs is just the latest in Georgia’s beefing up of its non-conference slate in the years to come.
