College GameDay will broadcast live from Athens on Saturday to spotlight the 12th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs’ tilt with Tennessee.

WWE star Cody Rhodes will join the set for the picks portion of the show as the celebrity guest picker. ESPN announced the selection on Thursday. A Georgia native and Bulldogs fan, Rhodes is the current undisputed WWE Champion. He’s also the second WWE star to join the GameDay set this season after Sheamus appeared on the Aug. 24 show in Dublin, Ireland.

The Week 12 trip marks College GameDay’s 10th all-time visit to Athens. It’ll be the 38th overall appearance on the traveling pregame show for the Bulldogs, which is the sixth-most of any team in the country. GameDay will be live from Myers Quad on Saturday morning, from 9 a.m. ET until noon.

Georgia (7-2) hosts Tennessee (8-1) at 6:30 p.m. ET on ABC Saturday night. The Vols currently sit atop the SEC standings and, with a win, would deal a crucial blow to the Dawgs’ College Football Playoff hopes. Might Georgia still get into the 12-team field with 3 losses on the résumé? Possible, especially if Texas makes the field. But Georgia will likely be looking to make a statement to leave no doubt it belongs.

The Bulldogs haven’t lost more than 2 SEC games in a season since 2016. They are a 9.5-point favorite over the Vols at ESPN Bet.
