David Pollack can see Oregon beating Georgia on Saturday, but to do it, the Ducks would need a big performance out of former Auburn QB Bo Nix, who is already very familiar with the Bulldogs.

Pollack, an analyst on ESPN’s “College GameDay,” was a guest on the Dan Patrick Show on Friday and shared how Dan Lanning’s team could deliver the upset in Atlanta, even though the Ducks are some 17-point underdogs.

“I think it would be Bo Nix being really good scrambling around making plays,” Pollack said. “Because if you saw Bo Nix, it’s been a carnival ride to say the least. It’s been up and down and it’s been all over the place. He can extend plays with his feet and make magic happen. He would have to do that.”

Pollack, who played at Georgia, understands what kind of program the Bulldogs have, but he also noted that they had 15 players drafted from last year’s team. Pollack noted how Lanning understands the tendencies of Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken, and Smart as well.

The timing of the game also benefits the Ducks, as Georgia is trying to figure out how to fit the replacement pieces into the defense especially.

“Getting Georgia early is a good thing,” Pollack said. “… Bo Nix would have to play sensational.”
