David Pollack weighs in on potential recruiting impact of Alabama-Georgia outcome
David Pollack joined the Always College Football show this week to discuss the upcoming Alabama-Georgia matchup in Week 5.
Not only will this matchup have College Football Playoff implications, but Pollack noted that it could also impact recruiting.
“If Kalen (DeBoer) loses, I think now you go, okay, how does this reflect recruiting in the South?” Pollack offered. “If I’m Kirby… it’s like, ‘Look, look, you see what I’m saying? They’re not ready for this. This is a new reign.'”

Meanwhile, if Alabama wins, DeBoer could point to this game as a sign of nothing changing in Tuscaloosa. Either way, as Pollack noted, this game seems likely to impact fan sentiment one way or another.
Alabama currently boasts the No. 2 recruiting class in the country for 2025, while Georgia has the No. 5 class. Both teams are perennially near the top of recruiting rankings, and the schools routinely battle each other for prospects.
This Week 5 matchup is also notable because it’s the first regular-season matchup between the rivals since the 2020 season. The teams played in the SEC Championship in 2021 and 2023 and met in the College Football Playoff National Championship in 2022.
The Tide and Bulldogs will kick off from Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
I told you so. Georgia’s former players are scared and it’s affecting recruiting. Tennessee already poached 1 player from Pac 12 Alabama and out-recruited Choking Georgia for another. Whomever loses this game will have more trouble on the recruiting trail vs. Tennessee.
Pollack…….definitely don’t miss him running his mouth on Tv. RTR!
I had hoped that pollack was gone for good.
