Georgia’s 2021 recruiting class isn’t done just yet but that hasn’t prevented Kirby Smart and company from working hard to get a great head start on the program’s 2022 class.

The Dawgs continued that momentum on Friday as Griffin High School product Donovan Westmoreland announced his commitment to Kirby Smart’s program.

The Griffin, Ga., native is currently rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 34 outside linebacker and a top 500 overall prospect in the country for the 2022 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Westmoreland picked Georgia over scholarship offers from South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Louisville and Maryland, among others.

This commitment now gives the Bulldogs six commitments in the 2022 recruiting cycle, as all six pledges coming from in-state prospects.
