With NFL free agency kicking off Thursday Aaron Murray has already found himself a new home. After spending last season with the Philadelphia Eagles, the former all-time great Bulldog quarterback will continue his NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams.

Murray’s agency, Sports Trust Advisers, confirmed the signing Thursday afternoon.

During his four-year career in Athens, Murray completed 62.3 percent of his passes for 13,166 yards, 121 touchdowns. Murray is not only Georgia’s all-time leader in both passing yards and touchdowns, he is currently the all-time SEC leader in both stats, too. After leaving Georgia, Murray was a fifth-round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. Murray left Kansas City after two seasons.

While last year’s No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff is the unquestioned quarterback for the Rams moving forward, Murray could position himself into the backup role this offseason and could potentially threaten for playing time based on Goff’s rocky rookie campaign with the Rams.
