The Georgia Bulldogs haven’t had the best luck with punters the last couple of years, but coach Kirby Smart is hoping to change that this fall.

On Sunday, it was revealed that former Murray State punter Landon Stratton was heading to Athens.

Stratton, a graduate transfer who has started for the Racers the past three seasons, announced his decision on Facebook Sunday night:

As a graduate transfer, Stratton will be eligible to play right away, so the Bulldogs’ punter competition will be one to watch this summer.

In three years as Murray State’s punter, Stratton averaged over 40 yards per punt each year.
