Georgia football has added to its strength staff. On Thursday, UGA announced the addition of Lonnie “LB” Brown as Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Brown arrives from Arizona, where he was the Associate Director of Strength & Conditioning for Wildcats football. Brown was hired at Arizona after 2 seasons (2019-20) at Alabama State.

Per his bio, Brown oversaw Strength and Conditioning at Alabama State for all 18 sports, including football. He arrived at Alabama State from Alabama A&M, where he designed, implemented and monitored strength and conditioning programs for multiple Olympic sport programs.

Brown was on staff at Alabama, his alma mater, as Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach in 2015 when Kirby Smart was the team’s defensive coordinator. According to his bio, Brown specialized in defensive lineman skills and technique working with the 2015 Crimson Tide team that won the national championship.
