After landing arguably the nation’s best offensive line class in the previous recruiting class, it would be somewhat understandable if Georgia focused its recruiting efforts outside the trenches but don’t try to sell that idea to Kirby Smart and Sam Pittman.

Georgia already held a commitment from four-star offensive lineman Xavier Truss and on Monday added a pledge from four-star lineman Warren McClendon of Brunswick, Ga. The nation’s No. 26 offensive tackle according to 247Sports Composite picked the Bulldogs despite recently visiting Florida and South Carolina. Alabama and Auburn had also extended scholarship offers to McClendon prior to his decision to commit to the Bulldogs.

Smart’s program now holds 12 commitments for the 2019 recruiting cycle, with only one of those recruits ranking as a three-star prospect.
