The Georgia Bulldogs had a disappointing season in Tom Crean’s first year at the helm of the program, but things could be rapidly changing.

Crean has already put together a great recruiting class, and that class got better on Monday, as 4-star PG Sahvir Wheeler from Houston committed to the program.

Rivals.com reported Wheeler’s decision, saying he chose Georgia over Iowa State.

Per the 247Sports composite, Wheeler is the No. 6 point guard in the class of 2019 and the No. 11 overall recruit from the state of Texas.

The Bulldogs now have five players in their 2019 class — four of whom have signed and then Wheeler. Per the 247Sports rankings, the class is currently No. 7 in the country and No. 2 in the SEC.

After 5-star G Anthony Edwards, the other four players are 4-star recruits, so Crean is putting together quite a group in Athens.
