Georgia lands transfer commitment from West Virginia standout DB

Tykee Smith will reunite with Jahmile Addae. The West Virginia transfer defensive back will play for his former WVU position coach at UGA, he announced Sunday night with a transfer commitment.
In his two seasons playing under Addae, Smith recorded 111 total tackles, including 10.5 for loss (8 TFL in 2020), 4 interceptions and 9 passes defended. This past season, as a sophomore, Smith recorded 61 tackles, 5 pass breakups and 2 interceptions, earning third-team AP All-American recognition.
Smith was named the No. 5 returning defensive back in 2021 by PFF. Some of his highlight plays can be viewed in the YouTube video embedded below.
