A Georgia lineman is facing misdemeanor charges of simple battery and a charge of loitering/prowling after he allegedly participated in a TikTok trend involving a water bead gel gun.

Georgia junior Warren Brinson was arrested early Friday morning according to a Athens-Clarke County jail booking recap, via DawgNation. Brinson played in 12 of 15 games last season and is competing to be a major contributor on the 2022 team. He played in 7 games as a true freshman.

A source told UGASports that Brinson was allegedly taking part in what’s known as the “Orbeez Challenge” on TikTok, where participants are encouraged to use the toys to shoot water gel beads at strangers while recording.

In a message to UGASports, Brinson explained that he was in his vehicle when he pulled up to a group of people that he thought he knew. Brinson told UGASports he was mistaken, and charges were filed by the individuals who were hit by the gel beads after they called the UGA police.

Brinson is the second current Georgia player arrested in a toy gun-related incident in the past 5 months.

Cornerback Nyland Green was arrested on felony charges last November after on-campus incidents involving BB guns. Green is competing for a starting cornerback spot with the Bulldogs.
