Georgia’s men’s basketball roster is nearing a complete turnover as Mike White begins to build it for next season.

Josh Taylor and Kario Oquendo joined Christian Wright, Tyrone Baker and Cam McDowell as Bulldogs who entered the transfer portal in the last 24 hours, Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports reported.

Taylor, a sophomore out of Atlanta, averaged 1.1 points, 0.7 rebounds and 3.9 minutes per game in his 10 appearances. Taylor doubled his playing time during conference play to 4.6 minutes per game against SEC opponents.

Oquendo, a sophomore out of Titusville, Florida, was Georgia’s leading scorer both overall (15.2 ppg) and in SEC action (18.3 ppg). He started all 31 games he played, and only missed one game because of injury.

Oquendo led the Bulldogs offensively in a team-high 13 contests, and also paced Georgia on the boards 6 times, in steals in 15 outings and in blocks in 12 games. Of his 22 double-digit scoring outputs, 15 came in SEC play.

Oquendo had 10 20-point performances, including 8 against the SEC opposition. In those contests, he shot 50.9 percent (83-of-163) from the field and 81.8 percent (54-of-66) from the line. Oquendo scored 33 points against Texas A&M, which equaled the highest single-game point total by any SEC player during the 2021-22 campaign.
