In December, Georgia CB Deandre Baker had announced he would play in the Sugar Bowl against Texas. As the game neared, however, he was absent from practice. When the Bulldogs arrived in New Orleans, coach Kirby Smart announced that Baker would not play in the game.

Baker made the trip to New Orleans and will be on the Georgia sideline. Kirk Herbstreit isn’t a fan of Baker hanging around if he isn’t suiting up.

“If you’re not going to play, don’t be on the sideline though,” Herbstreit said on Tuesday’s “College GameDay.” “Get the hell out of here. If you’re not here to play, just get on out.”

As you can see in the clip below, this isn’t Herbstreit going on a passionate rant staring into the camera. Georgia alum David Pollack cracks up, but seems to agree with the sentiment of either play in the game or don’t bother traveling to the bowl.

“Don’t let the door hit you on the way out,” Pollack adds.
