Jake Fromm didn’t let the moment go by without acknowledging what clinching the third straight SEC East title meant on Saturday night at Auburn.

“For us to able to do that three years in a row speaks a lot about our football program, our head coach and the guys willing to work in the locker room and do whatever it takes,” Fromm said.

Fromm has just six losses in his Georgia career, but only one, this year against South Carolina, came against the SEC East.

Fromm improved to 32-6 as a starter including 11-5 against Top 25 teams in this is 38th consecutive start. He finished 13-for-28 for 110 yards with 3 TDs. Fromm now has 70 career TD passes, which ranks third in school history.

OL Andrew Thomas echoed Fromm’s comments: “It is pretty amazing. It’s the biggest blessing that I could ask for to be here.”

Georgia is the first team from the East to win three straight since Florida won five in a row from 1992-96. The Bulldogs will make their eighth appearance in the SEC Championship Game where they are 3-4, winning titles in 2002, 2005 and 2017.

Georgia returns to action this week against Texas A&M at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
