JT Daniels is reportedly considering an SEC East team among his potential transfer destinations.

On Thursday, ESPN’s Pete Thamel shared an update on Daniels. The departing Georgia quarterback is currently back out in Pac-12 territory, visiting Oregon State. Thamel relays that Missouri and West Virginia “are still expected to be in the mix” for Daniels.

According to Thamel, Daniels will wait to graduate before making the second transfer of his college football career. A former 5-star recruit, Daniels began his career at USC, playing in 11 games as a freshman in 2018. Daniels missed all but 1 game of the 2019 season due to injury. He transferred to Georgia ahead of the 2020 season. Daniels played in 4 games of UGA’s 2020 season, going 80-of-119 passing for 1,231 yards, 10 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Daniels appeared in 5 games of Georgia’s 2021 national championship season, completing 68-of-94 passes for 722 yards, 7 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.

Earlier this week, Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz was asked about pursuing a quarterback from the transfer portal.

“We’re not actively seeking, but we’re not actively shying away from it either,” Drinkwitz said, per Lila Bromberg of The Kansas City Star.
