Kirby Smart’s No. 6 Georgia squad could be down a key player on offense for the Orange Bowl against No. 5 Florida State.

UGA has made the trip south ahead of the game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. According to DawgNation, tight end Brock Bowers, edge rusher Damon Wilson and offensive tackle Amarius Mims were not observed among the players getting off the plane.

After touching down in South Florida, Smart was asked if he had any advice for Bowers on whether to play in the bowl game or rest up ahead of the NFL Draft.

“That’s up to Brock,” Smart told reporters. “Brock’s been with us the whole time and he’s been doing all the things he’s got to do. It’s more important though that he’s 100%. The guy probably played earlier than he should have, came out there and competed his butt off. He’s done everything he can for Georgia. He’s not 100% so it makes it a little harder to do.”

Bowers has been limited to 10 appearances in 2023. He is still Georgia’s leading receiver with 56 catches for 714 yards and 6 touchdowns. Dominic Lovett is next on the team in catches (51) and receiving yards (575). Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint is second on the team in receiving touchdowns with 4.
