While Nick Chubb’s father doesn’t expect his son to be able to play on Saturday, coach Kirby Smart hasn’t ruled him out.

โ€œNick Chubb remains to be a game-time decision,โ€ Smart said on “The Paul Finebaum Showโ€ Friday afternoon on UGA campus. โ€œNick has improved in the last probably 48 hours immensely. Weโ€™re going to go out tomorrow and warm up and see how he does. If the medical staff clears him, then heโ€™s going to play. Thatโ€™s where we are with it.โ€

Smart told that Finebaum “weโ€™ll find out in warm ups where heโ€™s at. Surprisingly, I thought early in the week it was very doubtful, I didnโ€™t know if heโ€™d abe able to, but yesterday he was able to do a lot GPS-wise (used to determine speed), he ran better and had some good speed. We felt a lot better about it after yesterday, then weโ€™ll find out today. Obviously, it will be a medical decision. Sometimes reports come from all places. This is just an issue of weโ€™re going to find out at gametime.โ€
