Lane Kiffin reacts to Georgia winning the national title

Lane Kiffin has a long history and friendship with Kirby Smart, and he’s poked fun at the Georgia coach over the years, especially in terms of his relationship to Nick Saban.
But Kiffin offered congratulations to Smart and shared it on social media when he said “Congrats!! Amazing journey and hard work. Very happy for you Kirby Smart and Georgia Enjoy.”
Kiffin and Smart, of course, spent time together on the Alabama coaching staff, and have since kept up with a famous group text with Will Muschamp and Jeremy Pruitt.
Smart, a Bulldogs defensive back in the mid-1990s, took his alma mater to the top of college football after he was hired in 2016 from Alabama where he served as Saban’s long-time defensive coordinator.
